Since 1996, Ms. Dial has been President and CEO of Sara Dial &
Associates, a business consulting firm specializing in government
relations and economic and community development. She has
represented many notable clients in their business expansion
efforts including Google, Facebook, Fisher Investments and Comcast
Cable. She has also recently led several high profile economic
development initiatives in Arizona including the creation and
implementation of the newly created Discovery Triangle and the
effort to restructure Arizona’s statewide economic development
delivery model.
From1993-1996, Ms. Dial served as the director of the Arizona
Department of Commerce and a member of Governor Fife Symington’s
cabinet. From 1991-1993, she was the finance director at the
department. Prior to her work in government, Ms. Dial worked in
the investment banking industry, focusing on municipal finance.
She is a graduate of Stanford University with a Bachelor of Arts
degree in international relations.
Ms. Dial is active in the Greater Phoenix community and has served
on or chaired over 25 community boards and commissions. She was
ranked in the Top Ten Most Influential Women and “40 Under 40”
lists in the Phoenix Business Journal. She received the “Spirit of
the Children” award from Childhelp USA for her contributions to
abused children in Arizona. She was honored with the inaugural
John and Sandra Day O’Connor award from the United Methodist
Outreach Ministries Mother’s Day Gala as a distinguished working
mother impacting the business and philanthropic community as well
as her own family.
She has been married to her husband, Patrick, for 15 years and has
three children.
