Debra Stevens is
Phoenix Children’s Hospital’s director of marketing and communications. In
this position, Stevens is responsible for leading brand management,
advertising, public relations, physician relations, and the Hospital’s Web
presence, among other communications efforts at Arizona’s only
freestanding pediatric hospital.
Stevens spent 14 years in various marketing positions at the Phoenix Suns
organization, including vice president of public relations and community
relations, and executive director of Phoenix Suns Charities. Most
recently, Stevens served as vice president of marketing for Loreto Bay
Company, a Scottsdale-based real estate company developing a sustainable
resort town in Baja, Mexico. She was tapped to join Phoenix Children’s in
2006, in order to lead communications programs around the Hospital’s $588
million expansion. The new Phoenix Children’s Hospital will open in 2011.
Stevens brings expertise in marketing, communications, strategic planning,
and relationship building, as well as a commitment to the local community.
She is a Phoenix Suns Charities board member and past board chairman for
Christian Family Care Agency, and is a longtime, accredited member of the
Public Relations Society of America. Stevens earned her MBA from
University of Phoenix and her undergraduate degree from Arizona State
University. She resides in Scottsdale, Ariz., with her husband and two
sons.
