Barbara Payne is an
instructor of law at the University of Phoenix and Maricopa Community
College where she teaches a wide range of legal matters including business
law, labor law, estate administration, family law, bankruptcy and real
property. After earning her Juris Doctor from Hofstra University
School of Law in 1981, Ms. Payne has led a rich career practicing,
researching and instructing the law. Ms. Payne is a member of
several professional organizations including the State Bar of Arizona, the
State Bar of Texas, the Connecticut Bar Association and the American Bar
Association. She also contributed an article titled "abandoned and
Escheated Properties: How Long is Long Enough?" to the Connecticut Bar
Journal in 1990. Locally, Ms. Payne is active in the Asian Arts
Council of Phoenix Art Museum and Ballet Arizona. She and her
husband share their home with a fantastic feline.
