Dianne James is a
Senior Vice President, Director of Human Resources, for National Bank of
Arizona, a 78 branch Bank based in Phoenix. As a member of the executive
team, she is responsible for setting and executing upon a human capital
strategy that supports the Bank’s long term business goals and objectives.
Since joining NBA in 2006, she has led the Human Resource team through a
dramatic cultural shift by developing a team that partners with management
to create compelling and relevant programs and systems. Most recently,
Dianne and her team introduced the first ever leadership development
programs designed to position NBA for future growth across all its
markets.
Prior to joining NBA, Dianne spent 10 years at Harrah’s Entertainment,
Inc., the world’s largest casino/hotel company. During her tenure, she
served in various Human Resource leadership roles ranging from performing
due diligence and integration for mergers, acquisitions and divestitures
to managing the HR function at a property with 2300 employees. She managed
the execution of a company-wide customer service initiative that affected
employees at every level – from senior leadership to line level, a $13mm
investment over 24 months. Dianne was involved in the change management
and cultural transition of the Harrah’s/Caesar’s merger, the largest
merger in the casino industry.
With more than 18 years in Human Resources, Dianne is a results oriented
leader who is passionate about developing people, and ultimately, the
bottom line.
She holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation and
is active in several professional organizations such as the Society of
Human Resource Management, the Human Resource Planning Society, and the
Arizona Human Resource Executive Forum.
Dianne is a volunteer with Arizona Saves, providing adults with financial
literacy training. She has served as a board member for Micah House, an
organization that provides transitional housing, and was a founding
charter and board member for the Pittsburgh chapter of Executive Women’s
Golf.
A native of Pittsburgh, PA, Dianne enjoys golfing, running and traveling
with Ed, her husband.
