Professional Experience
Heather Buchta’s practice is both transactional and prosecution-based, covering the areas of licensing, e commerce, copyrights and trademarks. Specifically, her work focuses on software licenses, website terms and conditions, website privacy policies, copyright applications, and trademark prosecution. Ms. Buchta also deals with various litigation issues related to both copyrights and trademarks on a day-to-day basis. Her experience includes dealing with:

• Negotiating and drafting technology and software license agreements.

• Negotiating and drafting manufacturing and distribution agreements.

• Analyzing issues related to employee ownership of intellectual property.

• Copyright issues related to software and automated databases.

• Internet domain name issues.

• Intellectual property holding companies and related licensing issues.

• Ex parte and inter partes proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
