Caring for people
has always come naturally to Karen Wellert, Founder and President of
Adultcare Assistance Homecare LLC. Karen has more than 35 years of
experience caring for seniors and is currently celebrating the 13th
anniversary of her Sun City agency’s service to the community. Aging adds
constant challenges to daily living activities. Karen and her staff at
Adultcare Assistance Homecare make it possible for seniors to remain
independent for as long as possible by providing them with help in their
own homes.
Karen and her husband moved to Arizona from her hometown of Milwaukee,
Wisconsin in 1983. Since then, she has been an active participant in her
adopted home state, and is passionate about giving back to the community
by “giving first and sharing always”. Karen has been honored for her
community efforts by the Peoria Chamber of Commerce, Surprise Regional
Chamber of Commerce, Arizona Woman magazine, Arizona Business Journal and
the Northwest Valley Newspapers. Karen serves on the boards of numerous
local non-profit organizations including Interfaith Community of Care,
Eve's Place, Sun City Visitors Center and serves as the 2008 Board Chair
for the Surprise Regional Chamber of Commerce.
A breast cancer survivor, Karen respects the need for balance as a key to
the quality of life for the professional woman. She enjoys spending time
with her husband of 32 years, her 2 grown children and two Old English
Sheep dogs.
