“Everyone has an interesting story to share. My goal is to give that story the right voice and share it with the community.” Rada K. Tierney has spent her professional career doing just that, shining the spotlight on individuals and causes that merit public recognition. As president of the newly launched public relations consulting firm, RKT Communications, Rada will specialize in strategic communications for select companies in the health and beauty industries. It is a field that is very familiar to her.

Prior to launching her consulting firm, Rada held the position of Public Relations Director for Physician’s Choice of Arizona, Inc., an international cosmeceutical company that formulates and markets medical grade skin care products exclusively to physicians and clinical practices in 60 countries. She conducted all media and community relations on behalf of the company and served as the company spokesperson through active participation in civic and charitable organizations such as:

• Women of Scottsdale

• Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce

• Arizona Small Business Association

• The Sojourner Center

• SHADE Foundation

• The Skin Cancer Foundation

• Face to Face Project, a national humanitarian organization that provides free reconstructive surgery to victims of domestic violence

Before joining Physician’s Choice of Arizona, Rada provided full scope marketing and communications support to clients in the life science and technology sectors at Alpern Lehman, a medical marketing agency.

Rada’s professional career began in broadcasting, where she enjoyed an 18-year career as a medical news producer for CBS, PBS, and Ivanhoe Broadcast news. Her investigative health reports earned her several national journalism awards including three Emmys.

Rada has also served the health industry as a Board Member of the International Medical Spa Association and the Arizona BioIndustry Association.
