Tammy LeRoy's career
as a journalist and editor began in 1997 as an undergraduate with a
journalism major and history minor at Arizona State University. She
returned to ASU in 2002 to pursue a master's degree in Western U.S.
history. Freelancing to subsidize her education, she wrote features and
columns for local and national publications, authored books and was
employed as a freelance editor.
In 2004, LeRoy began a four-year stint as an editor for a Phoenix-based
publisher of national business-to-business magazines. In 2008, she joined
LPI Multimedia, the publishers of Phoenix Woman. LeRoy is
also author of five well-received books on the horse industry and the
western lifestyle—the latest two published by The Globe Pequot Press in
2006 and 2007.
"The Valley's women are smart, accomplished and beautiful from the inside
out, which is what makes working on Phoenix Woman so exciting!” says LeRoy.
“The dynamic changes we are now making are targeted to extend the
magazine's appeal and better serve our readers' interests. The entire
Phoenix Woman staff is completely dedicated to making each
issue fabulous."
