Scarlett Spring
Scarlett has been a senior executive with AstraZenenca Pharmaceuticals
leading the Oncology Sales Division for the past four years. She is a
veteran of the pharmaceutical industry for almost nineteen years with
commercial and leadership experience including functional,
cross-functional and team-based responsibilities. She led numerous
change-management initiatives resulting in the strongest years of Oncology
sales performance.
Scarlett is a strong motivator and committed to the development of others
through coaching for accountability and employing break-through thinking
techniques to maximize one’s growth potential.
Scarlett is active volunteer and served as:
• Committee member National Lung Cancer Partnership
• Founding Steering Committee Member for AstraZeneca Women’s Leadership
Group.
• Women’s Basketball Coaches Association –WBCA luncheon and served as
catalyst for breast cancer initiative that grew into ‘Think Pink’
initiative.
• Committee member for Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, largest provider
of scholarships for Texas youth.
• Member of Women’s Advisory Committee for 2009 USGA Women’s Open
She feels very fortunate and excited to be moving back to Phoenix and
shifting her career from pharma toward a new direction. “Who gets to
retire in their mid-40’s, travel for 4 months and come back to an
incredible place like Phoenix? I’m very blessed.”
Scarlett is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin and received
an Executive MBA from Pepperdine University. “All graduate programs are
challenging but I’m particularly proud of the discipline this program
took.” She was promoted to a headquarters role in Philadelphia midway
through the program and traveled to the West Coast every 3rd weekend while
working full-time.
Scarlett is an avid reader and enjoys jogging, biking and most outdoor
activities. She loves great conversation and believes that politics and
religion are topics that can be discussed.
