Susan Kaib, MD, FAAFP
For Dr. Susan Kaib, helping a person achieve his or her health goals is
about working with the whole person – body, mind and spirit.
Dr. Kaib has been with Kronos Optimal Health Company for six years. She
previously worked in private practice, where she felt she wasn’t able to
address her patients’ health needs fully because of time constraints.
“What I saw at Kronos was the opportunity to spend a lot of time with my
patients,” she says. “I find joy in helping people take responsibility for
their health.”
As medical director for Kronos Corporate and Community Wellness programs
and services, Dr. Kaib is fully trained in Kronos’ proactive, preventive
approach to medicine. A fellow of the American Academy of Family
Physicians, Dr. Kaib is a board-certified physician at Kronos Optimal
Health Centre in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Working with her patients isn’t just about what she thinks is best,
either.
“We’re a team working toward a common goal,” she says.
When she’s not working, she’s doing the usual Mom things, she says –
molding playdough and going on walks with her two children. Because of her
focus on wellness, Dr. Kaib wants to instill a healthy lifestyle in her
children now.
“I’m a bit annoying to them,” she jokes. “I’m constantly balancing what a
pre-schooler wants and what’s healthy. It’s a lot of negotiation.”
Dr. Kaib completed her residency at Phoenix Baptist Hospital and earned
her medical degree from the University of Arizona, Tucson. She graduated
cum laude from Arizona State University, Tempe, with a Bachelor of Science
degree in Chemistry. Dr. Kaib is a member of the Arizona Academy of Family
Physicians and the Arizona Medical Association.
In her role with Kronos, Dr. Kaib has been interviewed for television and
radio and by national and local print publications, including Good
Housekeeping, Esquire, More, Healthy Aging and America West.
