CPW Member Dr. Jennifer Linder honors author Tony Deifell

 

Drs. Jennifer and Richard Linder invited friends to a reception at their home for friend and author Tony Deifell.   Seeing Beyond Sight Photographs by Blind Teenagers documents how visual artist and social entrepreneur Tony Deifell taught his blind students to take pictures as an innovative, multi-sensory means of self-expression."

CPW member Dennita Sewell presented an illustrated talk, Experiencing the Paris Fashion Collection Runway: A First Hand View of Paris Fashion Week, at the French Heritage Society's Tenth Annual Royal Palms Luncheon. The afternoon began with an elegant reception followed by lunch and the fashion presentation. Dennita Sewell is Curator of Fashion Design at Phoenix Art Museum and shared her experience at fashion week in Paris this year. Sewell worked with the Chado Ralph Rucci staff as they prepared for the show. Next year, on March 19, Chado Ralph Rucci will present his Spring 2008 Haute Couture and Ready-to-Wear collections at Phoenix Art Museum, the proceeds of which will benefit the Fashion Design collection.
