Linda M. Herold Collection Donated to Scottsdale Historical Society

By: Rada K. Tierney

Linda M. Herold’s meticulous archives of Valley society, culture and philanthropy encompassing the past dozen years have been donated to the Scottsdale Historical Society. Through her work as a society columnist, photojournalist, and founder of four leading women’s networking groups, Herold has chronicled the Valley’s rich philanthropic and cultural worlds. Herold chose to donate her collection to the Scottsdale Historical Society in appreciation for its tireless efforts to preserve local history. “Scottsdale is my adopted hometown,” says Herold. “It is a privilege to provide a historical record for the Society’s archives.”

“Linda’s contributions to the City of Scottsdale have been very valuable, from the launch of her networking group, Women of Scottsdale, to her philanthropic endeavors,” adds Scottsdale Historical Society Executive Director, JoAnn Handley. “Because of her well-documented accounts of Scottsdale history it will give future generations a vivid snapshot of life in our community during this important period.”
