Congratulations to past CPW Director Paige Heavey who completed Valley Leadership's program as of June 5, 2009! Paige is a graduate of Class 30 of Leadership Institute. In her honor CPW contributed to Valley Leadership's Community Stewards Society for one year. CPW's contribution supports this important community leadership organization and will cover member dues for Paige for one year.

CPW Member Connie Taylor attended the 15th Annual Legislative Wrap-Up Breakfast given by the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce. Community leaders gathered at the Hyatt Regency to meet elected officials and hear from a panel of state legislators about the 2009 legislative season.

 


CPW Member joins JDRF Board: During their annual meeting, held Thursday, June 18 at National Bank of Arizona, The Desert Southwest Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation announced the newest members to their Board of Directors. JDRF’s Desert Southwest Chapter is based in Phoenix, AZ and contributes more than $6 million annually to diabetes research. The mission at JDRF is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through support and research. In addition to financial assistance, the JDRF provides education and support to newly diagnosed individuals and their families.

 

This year, JDRF welcomed 12 new members to its FY 2010 board including CPW member Deborah Bateman, EVP, Director of Sales and Service Strategies, National Bank of Arizona.
