Coming to Scottsdale
Joan
Baez
October 21, 2006; Saturday @ 8 p.m.
Virginia G. Piper Theater, Scottsdale Center for the Performing
Arts
Single ticket price: $62
It has been said that some artists live in history—and the lives
of other artists are history. Joan Baez rose to prominence as a
folk singer and political activist during the 1960s. From the very
beginning of her musical career, she has never sought to draw
lines between real-world, real-time events and her own artistic
vision. More than four decades after the release of her first
recordings, she has never meant more to fans across the globe, she
has never shown more vitality and passion in her concerts and
records and she has never been more comfortable in her own skin.
Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts is honored to welcome
back this legendary musician for a special one-night engagement.

August Leadership Theme
SUCCESSFUL LEADERS KNOW THE
IMPORTANCE OF SELF-CARE

Presented by
Sharon Lamm, Ed.D
Over tea with women colleagues we
will discuss how important it is to take care of ourselves. Leaders are
self-disciplined, evaluate everything, prioritize, focus on their vision, know
how to manage stress and achieve satisfying results both personally and
professionally. If we don't take care of ourselves we cannot take care of our
business or those important to us. Come and learn essential ways to care for
ourselves as leaders.
