John C. Lincoln North
Mountain Hospital Intensive Care Unit earns second national
Beacon Award for Critical Care Excellence
First in Arizona
honored by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses
The Intensive Care
Unit at John C. Lincoln North Mountain Hospital has become the
nation’s 30th hospital critical care department to earn a second
Beacon Award for Critical Care Excellence from the American
Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN), the largest
specialty nursing organization in the world.
The Beacon Award,
specifically designed by AACN to recognize the nation’s top
hospital critical-care units, only has been given to an elite
158 of the 6,000-plus critical care units in the United States.
North Mountain’s ICU was the first in Arizona to receive the
Beacon Award and is the first to be granted the Beacon for a
second time. The ICU’s first Beacon was for 2007-2008 and the
second Beacon is for 2009-2010.

New Book. Cool Read. Must Have for Business Success
The entitlement attitude in the workplace is killing success and
business. Nobody owes anybody anything. My friend and colleague,
Marsha Petrie Sue offers up a guide to make smart moves in tough
times in her new book The Reactor Factor: How to Handle
Difficult Work Situations Without Going Nuclear.
Check out the book trailer
! No topic is sacred in this book because the goal is to provide
a hands-on, hardcore workbook for responding instead of
reacting. Visit
www.ReactorFactorBook.com where you can connect with Barnes
and Noble.com , Borders.com, Books a Million, Amazon.com and
more. Send confirmation of the book purchase and receive a
complimentary download of Toxic People – Decontaminate Difficult
People Without Using Weapons or Duct Tape book on tape, The CEO
of YOU: Leading Yourself to Success e-book and a PDF containing
25 of Marsha’s most popular articles. Great value!
