WORDS WORTH FRAMING

Some of my most cherished items are poems written by my late father for special occasions. His gift for verse became his way of saying “I love you” to friends and family. Weddings, christenings, birthdays and holidays were not complete without one of his personalized poems. They generated laughter, tears and food for thought.

I have framed some of them, along with touching thank you notes and messages from loved ones. They add a personal and loving touch to a room’s décor and make my home distinctively my own.

Not long ago, I read somewhere that President Bill Clinton always limited his letters of appreciation to one page to make it easy for framing.

The next time you send out a heartfelt message, write your note on a single panel note card or a single sheet of paper. You may not be a poet or a president, but your words mean something to those who are special to you. They may just end up in a pretty picture frame proudly displayed by the recipient.
